7/14/08 UPDATE: In the past few weeks the Westlake Ace Hardware in Kansas has been in contact with us. They are donating 150 thousand packs of seeds for our project. We can't say how pleased we are to be getting so much cooperation for this project!
May 08 UPDATE: Your response on our project is overwhelming. We have sent 18 boxes to Iraq before May 5th. Much more will be sent in the very near future. We have received information that Bomgaars in Sioux City will be sending us 20 boxes of seeds. We can not express how delighted we are for this donation. Thank you does not seem to be enough. I would like to think that we are not just helping the Iraqi children plant gardens but we are also planting the seeds of "hope" in a war torn country.

WNAX would like to partner with you with the idea of sending seeds to Soldiers in Iraq. Over the years people have sent many things to American soldiers, so they can share the items with the local Iraqi people. Helping the Iraqi people grow their OWN food is one way we can help bring the soldiers home sooner rather than later.
American soldiers winning over the Iraqi people, is the quickest way to bring our soldiers home.
WNAX is looking for places of business and/or civic organizations to be donation locations for the seeds. Ideally, the business will sell seeds –but any and all will be welcomed.
Download the Seeds for Soldiers logo (below) and attach to a box -- then simply start collecting seeds. We already have persons willing to donate the postage. Next, notify WNAX (800-843-0089) so we can list your business or organization on the website and make mention of you on the air, or email the information to erin@wnax.com.
You can also drop-off or mail seeds to the Wolf and we will send them to Iraq.
