I would like to share with you a few pictures I took of Peyton this weekend! Mommy & Baby are doing great and Dee says HI!

Big brother Marshall is really enjoying the little guy too!

No one wanted to believe me 6 months ago…and it took me that long to fing it - but I do have a key to a city! What crazy people would give me a key? The city of Montgomery, Minnesota when I visited and judged their Czech Pageant when I was the national Czech-Slovak USA Queen! I know I will never get another one…but it is an honor to have just one! See my key below:

 So I was practicing this morning for Tomorrow as it is Hold A Bubblegum Bubble Blowing Tournament Day with contests for all age-groups and a double-elimination championship Blow-Off. Jerry seemed to find my preparation amusing:

Gotta love pedicures! Dee does…especially now that Peyton is here! They say pedis can cause labor…and for Dee it worked but I had never gotten one before! So we went to the salon and got pampered. Thanks to Kylie and Andrea from Xtreme Salon and Spa for treating us so well!!!!

AHHH…Dee went into labor after this!

I went for Electric Blue on my toes. The color was called Frost Bite

Dee got a bright Red color! I think they called it kangaroobaby.

And then I had to remind Dee that her belly was getting in the way of seeing her toes!!! that is Dee’s white shirt and you can kind of see the tip of her white shoes!

Welcome Peyton Brett! He decided he needed to come to the world NOW and arrived 2 weeks early! Dee welcomed her newest bundle of joy at 11:14am on 8/22/10. He arrived at 7lbs 4oz and is just a sweetheart! CONGRATS to Dee, Loren & new Big Brother Marshall!

Oh…and if you notice, I changed my hair! What do you think of the curls? Crazy huh? Congrats again Dee!

I somehow got tricked into thinking going to Dakotafest is fun! And I have to say the show was great…it was the packing up and hauling home that made me sour. It was HOT yesterday!

I did notice that people tend to travel in packs to these farm shows, like this group:

I tried taking a picture with only ONE Dakotafest attendee…and he absolutly didn’t want to take a picture with me! I don’t know that this has ever happened. I even made Carter cry…poor guy. I may have traumatized him for life…

And for all of you that didn’t make it to Dakotafest to see those awful Sea Foam Shirts, this is Neil from sales wearing the new shirt:

Neil is the one on the right. Though it doesn’t look so bad here…I am not a huge fan of it!

Is my Godson not the cutest thing EVER? So hard to believe he will be 2 in just 10 days!

It is nice to go away…but so much better to return Home! Linda wrote a really nice poem about our trip that I would like to share with all of you:

A bus trip to DC
Please, oh please, lets pack our bag
I got down on my knees.

This trip is it, there’s not a doubt
You and I won’t fight
Cuz someone else will do the driving

Fin’lly fin’lly we made the call

Two hundred bucks, we fin’lly gave
A great relief to me
This meant there was a seat for us
Our capitol to see.

It’s quite a thing to get a farmer
Off the fam’ly farm
Thanks to-a Yankton radio station
I finally won his charm.

The day had come, we’re on our way
To meet the long-long bus
But we were greeted by Hybrid Skeeters
Who wanted to land on us.

Stepped on the bus, we were greeted
To, not a face we knew
We shyly did, became acquainted
Then a friendship grew.

A name was given, Bus Number 2
“The fun and awesome bus”
Erin our leader and Larry our driver
Thanks for putting up with us.

We saw a lot of awesome places
And saw some great big ships.
The favorite one I love the most
Is-our new acquired friendships.

Our trip was full of history
Facts of days gone by
Full of fun, but then some tests
But kept our spirits high!

After all we are the ‘fun bus’
Naught will take us down
We love to sing our silly songs
Then on the web be found.

My hat is off to Erin, our leader
And Larry our driver too
Wouldn’t you agree, they’re just like our bus…
They’re awesome, they’re fun, it’s true.

It has been some busy days…mostly sleeping on the bus as we make the treck back home…but we did manage to squeeze in a stop at Churchill Downs this morning and then the St. Louis Arch this afternoon! A few took in the Vikings v Rams game as well! See all of the pictures on our Washington DC page!
