Consumers will soon see some new, but familiar names on various pork cuts in their grocery store meat case. National Pork Board director Brad Greenway says they are renaming various cuts so they are more reflective of what consumers commonly see on menus for beef at their favorite steak house.
Greenway says renaming a pork cut isn’t an easy process. They’ve been working with USDA for several months on this branding effort.
The new pork cut names will be included in some of this summer’s advertising and point of purchase information.
