Democratic leaders in the South Dakota Legislature focused on education issues at their briefing Thursday.
Senate Minority Leader Jason Frerichs of Wilmot says he is co-sponsoring a bill making changes to the Opportunity Scholarship……
Frerichs says they want students to take a look at staying in South Dakota after they graduate from a state university……
House Minority Leader Bernie Hunhoff of Yankton says they are pushing bills that would increase state aid to education………
Hunhoff says in his opinion, it’s the number one issue of this session....
Legislators are off Friday, and will return to Pierre on Monday.
