SD Senator Introduces Infrastructure Bill

A measure to create an Agricultural Infrastructure grant fund has been introduced in the South Dakota Legislature.  Senator Shantel Krebs of Renner is sponsoring the bill. She says the bill is intended to help local governments upgrade infrastructure for new agricultural businesses or existing ones wanting to expand.

Krebs says she’d like to have $5 million in state money put into the fund.  Then local government agencies could make an application for assistance for their ag infrastructure needs.

Krebs says Senate Bill 155 will be up for consideration in a couple of weeks.
