Knorr says from central Illinois and east in the corn belt they’ve received some adequate moisture which is also improving prospects for corn. However, it’s still early.
The latest survey finds farmers plan to plant 76.84 million acres of soybeans. That would a little less than the 77.2 million USDA estimated but more than the 76.1 farmers estimated last spring. He says these acreage figures would nearly double corn carryout and substantially increase soybean ending stocks as well.
