Jamison says animal rights groups like HSUS have had recent success moving their agenda. It’s in part due to their effective communication to consumers who are far removed from farms and ranches.
Jamison says agriculture groups have been able to battle the activists recently by banding together and spending money to combat negative state ballot initiatives.
He says producers need to combat HSUS and ballot issues by spending money early on a campaign that includes a simple and unified consumer message.
