The consumer perceptions about farming were busted at this weekend’s Moms Day Out on the Farm Tour.  More than 40 Sioux Falls area moms toured beef, hog and dairy operations to learn more about the food they feed their families.  Cattle producer Sarah VanDerVliet led part of the tour at their cattle operation near Humboldt.  She told the Moms about how they care for their cattle and the safety of the beef they’re producing with the use of implants.



Diane Muth of Renner says she has a whole different impression about beef production after having been on a cattle operation.



And since VanderVliet is also a mom she thinks that resonated with the group.
