EPA Litigation Over CAFO Reporting

Litigation is looming in regards to EPA’s proposed Confined Animal Feeding Operation or CAFO reporting requirements released last October.  NCBA Deputy Environmental Counsel Ashley Lyon says that’s because the agency is once again overstepping their authority with the 308 CAFO reporting.

Lyon says publicly reporting all CAFOs in the U.S. puts the food system in danger.

She says they submitted comments to the proposed rule in January and if EPA doesn’t address their concerns on the reporting requirement they’ll have no choice but to initiate legal action.
