Hollywood director Michael Bay has been attacked on the set of his latest “Transformer” movie in Hong Kong on Thursday.

Bay sustained injuries to the right side of his face after he was approached by two brothers who demanded a payment of $12,900 while Bay was filming “Transformers: Age of Extinction.”

It is not clear why the cash was requested, but after Bay refused to cooperate one of the men assaulted the director and also attacked three police officers who attempted to intervene.

The director has refused to seek treatment but the officers were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Two men have since been arrested on suspicion of blackmail and assault.
