Atlanta woman claims to be voice of Apple’s ‘Siri’

SIRI: Susan Bennett says she is the real-life voice behind Apple's Siri.

You probably talk to her a lot, asking everything from directions to weather to help finding the closest Starbucks, and now the real-life “Siri” is revealing herself.

CNN tracked down an Atlanta voice-over artist who claims to be the real-life voice behind Apple’s Siri, the virtual assistant debuted in 2011 on the iPhone 4S.

Susan Bennett has lent her voice to other projects, including Delta Airlines, and said she had no idea that her voice would become an icon for millions of Apple users worldwide.

Apple would not confirm Bennett’s claim and has never identified the voice behind Siri.

The company declined to comment for the CNN article, but an independent audio forensics expert interviewed for the story confirmed that Siri and Bennett are a “100 percent match.”
