South Dakota democratic gubernatorial candidate Susan Wismer is starting her first post primary campaign tour of the state, and she is focused on Medicaid expansion.

She said while it was debated during this year’s legislative session, she wants to point out what the state is missing by not accepting the federal money associated with expansion…

Much of the concern by legislators opposed to the expansion was the ongoing cost to the state. Wismer says the benefits outweigh any costs…

Wismer says she wants people to get involved in the expansion discussion…

Wismer faces incumbent republican Governor Dennis Daugaard and independent Mike Myers in the November election.
