Wessington Springs South Dakota Hit By Tornado

Wednesday night a Tornado hit the town of Wessington Springs South Dakota. Resident Jim Burg, former legislator and state Public Utilities Commissioner says there were several houses totally destroyed by the tornado.
Burg says one of his neighbor’s farms were damaged and he his family are helping their neighbors with cleanup efforts and rounding up cattle.
He says the Tornado spread a lot of debris around.
Burg says the fortunate thing was that they had good warning before the storm arrived so most people made it to shelter or their basements to take cover.
