South Dakota Senator John Thune says the final details of the omnibus spending bill, that passed Congress last week, should be finished up, and sent to the President before the end of the month…

The bill that passed cuts funding for an environmental study of the Missouri River basin by the Corps of Engineers. Thune says in the wake of the 2011 floods, that is a big disappointment……

Thune says some members of Congress thought the study was a waste of time and money…

Thune spoke to the AP Government class at Yankton High School yesterday.
