It was tough to hit a home run in the recent College World Series, but not Thursday night in the college Home Run Derby in Omaha.

Eight college sluggers competed at TD Ameritrade Park with Tres Barrera of Texas winning the home run crown. Barrera belted a record 25 homers in the third round and finished with a record 52 overall.

The runnerup was a high school teammate of Barrera, Eric Guiterrez of Texas Tech.
