A delegation of state officials was scheduled to travel to Washington last Friday and meet with the Surface Transportation Board about ongoing railroad shipment issues and delays. Governor Dennis Daugaard, Ag Secretary Lucas Lentsch and Department of Transportation Secretary Darrin Bergquist headed up the group.

Despite the intervention of the STB, rail delay issues apparently have not cleared up.
