South Dakota independent Senate candidate Larry Pressler is proposing an international North American Native American Holocaust Memorial Museum, to be built at Wounded Knee in south west South Dakota.

He says it is time to recognize what happened in the past…

 

Pressler says besides looking at the past, the museum could provide an economic spark for the reservation…

 

Pressler says he knows a lot of people want to forget the past and move forward, but he believes its necessary for both whites and native Americans to look at their shared history…

 

Pressler, along with independent Gordon Howie, republican Mike Rounds and democrat Rick Weiland are running for the seat now held by retiring Senator Tim Johnson.
