The “Violent Crime and Human Trafficking Conference” is underway in Sioux Falls. It is being sponsored by US Attorney Brendan Johnson, North Dakota US Attorney Timothy Purdon, The Department of Justice, Office for Victims of Crime, and Avera Health.

Johnson says the arrests of six men for child trafficking at the recent Sturgis rally shows the reality of the issue…

 

Johnson says conference wants to make a point that there are a number of victims in sex trafficking…

 

Johnson says service providers in the community are also important parts of the recovery process…

 

The conference, at the Washington Pavilion continues through tomorrow (Thursday).
