Delegates to the state democratic convention meeting in Yankton this past weekend nominated David Allen to be the candidate for the Public Utilities Commission.

Allen says utilities are becoming more dominant, and the current PUC is not doing enough about that…

Allen says some members of the PUC are too close to the utilities they are regulating…

Allen, of Yankton, ran for the District 18 Senate seat two years ago.

He says he hears about increasing utility costs…

Allen will face incumbent republican Gary Hanson in the November election.
