Yankton Helps Kick Off SD’s 125th Anniversary

The City of Yankton kicked off the 125th anniversary of South Dakota’s statehood Saturday with tours, living history and a ball to cap the celebration.

Representative Bernie Hunhoff, a member of the 125th celebration task force, said it was a good show…………

 

He said this celebration should be the first of many across the state through next year………….

 

Hunhoff says the task force will continue as a backbone for the event into next year……………

 

Saturday was the 124th anniversary of South Dakota being officially admitted into the Union.
