Vikings Add Tackle

The Vikings claimed offensive tackle J’Marcus Webb off waivers from the Chicago Bears on Sunday.  Webb started 44 games over the last three seasons in Chicago.  He was released Friday after struggling in the preseason and losing his starting job.  The Vikings terminated the contract of offensive lineman Troy Kropog to clear a roster spot.

The Vikings signed running back Joe Banyard, guard Travis Bond, defensive tackle Everett Dawkins, tight end Chase Ford, offensive tackle Kevin Murphy and wide receivers Rodney Smith and Adam Thielen to the practice squad on Sunday.  The Vikings open up the regular season on Sunday against the Lions in Detroit.
