Viking Rookie Sidelined

Vikings first round pick Sharrif Floyd is expected to be out for the rest of the preseason after having a minor procedure on his left knee.  Head coach Leslie Frazier said after practice Monday that he should be ready to go for the regular season opener at Detroit on September 8th.

The Vikings have released cornerback Jacob Lacey just a week after he underwent arthroscopic knee surgery.  Lacey signed a one-year deal with Minnesota in the offseason after spending 2012 with Detroit.  The 26-year-old has 198 tackles, six interceptions and 25 passes defensed over his four-year career with the Lions and Colts.
