Vet’s Home Construction To Begin

It appears the State of South Dakota will be able to proceed with construction of a new Veterans Home in Hot Springs. Initial construction estimates came in at over fifty million dollars, about ten million dollars over the money available. Lieutenant Governor Matt Michels, who has been heading up the project team, says they had the facility redesigned…

Michels says they will hold the general contractor to the prices quoted…

Michels says they can now move toward construction with the money already set aside for the project…

Michels says they have set groundbreaking for September 25th in Hot Springs. The new home would replace a structure that is over one hundred years old.
