USD Thrower At Nationals

The first of the Coyote track stars competed Wednesday at the national championship. South Dakota freshman thrower Meghan Dennis finished 20th in the javelin throw on Wednesday at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.

Dennis recorded her best mark of 143-3 on her second attempt. She had a mark of 135-5 on her first attempt and faulted on her third.

South Dakota will have three in action on Friday as Bethany Buell and Emily Grove compete in the women’s pole vault at 5:15 p.m. CT and Cody Snyder as competes in the men’s discus throw at 6 p.m. CT.
