The Twins and Pirates have swapped pitchers. The Twins acquired pitcher Kris Johnson from the Bucs on Tuesday in exchange for hurler Duke Welker. Johnson made his big league debut in 2013 with Pittsburgh, going 0-and-2 with a 6.10 ERA in four games including one start. Welker appeared in his first two career games last season for Pittsburgh and did not allow a run in one-and-a-third innings of work. He came to the Twins organization in the Justin Morneau trade.
