Twins Lose Slugfest

Eric Hosmer’s ninth inning solo homer held up as the Royals outslugged the Twins 9-8 at Target Field.  David Lough hit a solo shot in the eighth to break a seven-all tie.  Trevor Plouffe hit a solo shot in the bottom of the ninth to pull Minnesota within one.  Justin Morneau and Clete Thomas both hit two-run homers for the Twins, who have dropped four-of-six.  Jared Burton fell to 1-and-5 with the loss.
