Trey Porter singled in two runs in the eighth inning and Mississippi State held on for a 5-4 win over Indiana in the College World Series.  Sam Travis just missed a game-tying homer in the ninth for the Hoosiers, settling for a double off the center field wall.  The Bulldogs move on to Friday’s bracket championship.  IU plays an elimination game tomorrow.
In the first elimination game of the series, Oregon State ousted Louisville 11-4 in daytime action.
