Thomas Stars In Twins Win

A career night from an unexpected source pushed the Twins to a win Wednesday night. Clete Thomas doubled in the tying run in the eighth inning and then scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch, as the Twins topped the Phillies 4-3 at Target Field.  Thomas finished 4-for-4 with two RBI and Oswaldo Arcia was 3-for-4 with three runs scored for the Twins.

The Twins wrap up their three-game interleague series with the Phillies tonight at Target Field.  Kevin Correia gets the ball for the Twins.  He is 5-and-4 with a 4.11 ERA in 12 starts.  The Phils will counter with Cliff Lee, who is 7-and-2 with a 2.55 ERA.
