Strong back-to-school sales offset dips in individual and corporate income tax state revenue in August.┬áThe Nebraska Department of Revenue reports gross sales tax receipts grew 3-point-4 percent in August, while gross individual income tax receipts dropped 2-point-2 percent and corporate income tax receipts dropped 9-point-9 percent.┬áState Tax Commissioner Doug Ewald says General Fund receipts for last month totaled 392-point-5 Million dollars…point-two percent below the forecast. Still, that was above totals from last year. . .

Ewald says sales tax revenues to the state from retail sales last month grew nearly 3-and-a-half percent.
