Task Force Has No Tax Answers

A task force set up by the Nebraska legislature took several months looking at the state tax structure. They issue their report last week, saying they had no recommendations for the 2014 legislature.

District 40 Senator Tyson Larson of O’Neill says the committee ignored some obvious tax problems…

Larson says while the committee said they heard a lot about rising property taxes, it is disappointing they didn’t not have any good ideas…

Larson says he has proposed some legislative ideas that could start the process of cutting property taxes…

Nebraska lawmakers begin their 2014 session on January 8th.
