Stockmen’s Livestock Auction In Yankton South Dakota Has New Owners

Stockman’s Livestock in Yankton, South Dakota has a new owner.  Nebraska native Kylie Hammond has purchased the auction business from the Sohlers.  He says they have some big shoes to fill and hope to rebuild the business by providing a fair and competitive market.

Stockman’s is retaining many of the existing employees, and also adding new staff.  And Hammond says they will be making some changes to the sale schedule.

Hammond has been involved in the livestock business for 25 plus years.  He is a fourth generation livestock auctioneer, order buyer and Pedigree Representative.
