State Prison Inmate Back in Custody

A state prison inmate that left his work release job in Yankton last weekend is back in custody.

Richard Beckwith was apprehended in Jacksonville, FL earlier today through a joint investigation involving the U.S. Marshals Service and law enforcement there.

Beckwith was discovered missing from his work release job site June 9. He was serving 9 years, 10 months for a 2009 sentence for possession of a controlled substance out of Minnehaha County.
