South Dakota Representative Will Push For Farm Bill Passage

The House is only in session for three more works which leaves them little time to complete a farm bill and get it conferenced with the Senate. They also need to pass a nutrition bill.  South Dakota Congresswoman Kristi Noem is hopeful that will happen.

Noem says while it’s an option for the House to approve the Senate passed Farm Bill doesn’t believe that will happen. She says most House members want to cut down the amount of money spent on the nutrition program.

Noem says both the farm bill and the nutrition title need to match up in order for full farm legislation to get completed.

She says getting agreement on nutrition will be a difficult task.
