South Dakota Dairy President Hoping Immigration Bill Gets Passed Soon

President Obama is pushing House Leaders to get going on passing immigration reform legislation.  Speaker John Boehner has said they should be able to get it done by the end of the year. South Dakota Dairy Producers President Marv Post says he’s hoping Representatives will hear that message and get a comprehensive reform bill passed.

Post says a reliable year round labor forces is needed in the dairy industry and a reform bill could help with that.

The Senate has already passed their measure so Post is hoping the House will follow suit and get theirs through and then conferenced so it gets to the President’s desk sooner rather than later.
