Senator Releases GAO Report That Backs His Farm Bill Provision

Tuesday, Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley released a Government Accountability Office report that outlines farm bill subsidy waste and abuse.  Grassley says his payment limitation provision contained in both the House and Senate farm bills addresses the problems outlined by GAO and includes an actively engaged in farming requirement that clears up any abuse.

Grassley says his provision will be easier for the Farm Service Agency to administer.

The National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition is hailing the GAO report and is pleased Senator Grassley has offered his provision contained in both farm bills.
