SDSU Unveils New Look

The South Dakota State University football team will wear new yellow jerseys when it takes to the field Saturday for the 100th Hobo Day game.

Kickoff against Southern Illinois is slated for 2 p.m. at Coughlin-Alumni Stadium. The Jackrabbits enter the matchup 3-2 overall and are ranked seventh in this week’s Sports Network media poll and ninth in the FCS Coaches rankings. Southern Illinois is 2-3 overall; both teams are 0-1 in the Missouri Valley Football Conference.

Saturday’s game will mark the first time the Jackrabbits have worn anything other than blue jerseys for a home game in John Stiegelmeier’s 17 years as head coach.
