South Dakota Senator John Thune spoke about the Keystone XL pipeline on the floor of the US Senate. He says the pipeline would be a big element in securing American oil supplies……

Thune says the pipeline would be a huge private investment in many states…… 

The pipeline route takes it across western South Dakota on the way to the gulf coast.

Thune says the planning has been delayed long enough…

 The pipeline is waiting on Presidential approval of the permit needed to cross the US-Canadian border.
