SD Navigators Helping People Sign Up Under ACA

Navigators working with community service organizations across the state are helping people get signed up for health insurance through the federal marketplace at healthcare.gov.

Darci Bultje, with the Rural Office of Community Services in Lake Andes, says they have been first going to the website, then using mail in applications………….

Bultje says while it takes a little longer, their mail applications are being accepted…………

Bultje says most of the frustration people have is with the Affordable Care Act itself. She says enrollment has been slow so far…

She says interest in the insurance coverage has continued to be steady since enrollment opened on October first.
