SD Legislature May Deal With Mandated Pledge of Allegiance

In the wake of a Sioux Falls School Board decision not to mandate the pledge of allegiance in high schools, Representative Hal Wick of Sioux Falls has said he will introduce a bill in the next session of the legislature to require the pledge in state schools.

House Minority Leader Bernie Hunhoff of Yankton says legislators should also keep the issue of local control in mind…………

Hunhoff says if it does come to a vote, the issue would probably pass………

Hunhoff says the legislature has plenty of other issues waiting for them in January…………
