SD Legislative Committee Suggests More Money & Days for Schools

An interim South Dakota legislative committee that looked at education funding over the summer has recommended that state aid be increased to near where it was before a ten percent cut in 2011.

Yankton School Superintendent Dr. Wayne Kindle says the legislature needs to go in that direction…………

Another recommendation from the committee was to add ten days to the school calendar. Kindle says that would also cost more…………

Kindle says no educator would be opposed to adding education days to the school year…………
