SD Democrats Want Attorney General to Step Away From GOED Investigation

The South Dakota Democratic Party says Attorney General Marty Jackley should recuse himself and his office from further investigations into financial misconduct in the Governor’s Office of Economic Development.

Democratic party executive director Zach Crago says the investigation should be above question………

The financial misconduct is apparently connected to financing of the now bankrupt Northern Beef Packing plant in Aberdeen. Jackley said in an interview over the weekend he and his office do not have a conflict of interest in the investigation.

Crago says they disagree………….

Crago says a complete investigation is needed………

Crago said the investigation should be handled by a bi-partisan panel of legislators.
