SD Candidate Is On The Road

South Dakota’s democratic Senate candidate is on the road, meeting voters, and explaining his views. Rick Weiland says he knows he needs to make good use of his time between now and November of next year……

Weiland ran twice before for the US House, and was a long time staffer for former Senator Tom Daschle. He says he has a lot of experience now……

Weiland, at a campaign stop in Yankton, said his time away from politics helped convince him to make the run this year……

Weiland is the only announced democratic candidate, while republicans have three candidates running for that nomination.
