SD 125th Anniversary Part Starts This Weekend in Yankton

While the State of South Dakota will be one hundred twenty five years old next year, the celebration kicks off this weekend in Yankton.

Lieutenant Governor Matt Michels says it reflects the history in the area………

Michels says he and Governor Dennis Daugaard are looking forward to taking part in the celebration………

Michels says the 125th anniversary of statehood will allow each community to have their own observance and theme…

There will be a living history tour starting Saturday afternoon, with the reception and ball in the evening at the Riverfront Events Center.
