POET Hires Director Of Federal Affairs

POET Hires Director Of Federal Affairs

POET has named Rob Walther as their new director of Federal Affairs.  Walther’s main job is to lobby Congress on issues critical for the renewable fuel industry. He says his top priority right now is defending attacks against the Renewable Fuel Standard.

Walther says it’s important all biofuel interests come together because their opponent the oil industry has very deep pockets and is able to throw a lot of money into the battle to try and dismantle the R-F-S.

Walther says while he and ethanol industry proponents face many challenges, he’s optimistic when it comes to defending the R-F-S and speaking for renewable fuels.
