Planning Committee To Meet

The Legislative Planning Committee meets today in Pierre.

The agenda includes a study of workforce development and a strategic planning session.

Senator Tom Jones of Viborg says he isn’t sure what kind of conclusion they will have…

Jones says he doesn’t think they will have many solid recommendations on the workforce development issue…

A number of legislators have questioned the purpose and mission of the committee, which was set up to be permanent by last year’s legislature. Jones says they have had mixed meetings this year…

Legislators are gathering in Pierre ahead of the Governor’s budget address set for tomorrow afternoon.
