Plane Purchase Debated

Budget bills have been advanced to final consideration by the Unicameral, but not until one more round of debate on a proposal to buy a state plane. Legislators have scratched plans to spend 2-point-2 Million dollars to buy a King Air from the University of Nebraska Foundation. Instead, a study will be conducted on how best to meet the air travel needs of the state. Senator Galen Hadley of Kearney suggests the legislature engaged in a bit of micro-managing in its decision.
