Pioneer Energy Gets USDA Grant For Wind Project

 

Pioneer Energy LLC has received a $ 25,000 USDA grant to study the feasibility of building a wind farm near Lake Andes, South Dakota.  South Dakota Wind Energy Association Executive Director Ron Rebenitsch says the funding will help the local company start the process of developing their wind project which will boost the state and local economies.

Rebenitsch says the thirty turbine, 99 megawatt project Pioneer Energy is working on will deliver significant benefits to the state and region.

The grant is through USDA’s Rural Energy for America program.
