NPPC Trade Official Says China Meeting Important For US Agriculture

United States Trade Representative Michael Froman,  Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack and Commerce Secretary Penney Pritzker are in China this week. National Pork Producer Council’s Vice President and International Trade Counsel Nick Giordano says it’s important they be at the Joint Committee on Commerce and Trade meeting in Beijing to represent U.S. agricultural interests.

Giordano says the meeting is an opportunity to talk about any potential or current trade barriers and to discuss what is working and what they want to see in the future.

Topics that are expected to come up include market access, intellectual property rights and removal of regulatory trade barriers.
