New Rural Affairs Executive Director Excited To Start New Job

Beginning September 1, Center for Rural Affairs Assistant Executive Director Brian Depew takes over as Executive Director.  He replaces Chuck Hassebrook who resigned to devote full time to running for Governor of Nebraska. Depew says he’s looking forward to the promotion.

Depew says he wants to continue helping rural communities thrive and to help create opportunities for rural businesses and producers.

He says part of his goal is to work for a new farm bill that will help family producers and those just starting to farm.
