New Party Chair Needed for SD Democrats

South Dakota democrats are looking for a new party chairman after former Chair Ben Nesselhuf left to manage an Iowa Congressional campaign. They are also looking for possible candidates for the US House and Governor’s race next year. They have one Senate candidate in Rick Weiland. House Minority Leader Bernie Hunhoff of Yankton, one of the most visible democrats, says while they may not have a lot of legislators or candidates right now, they are still able to move their ideas……

Hunhoff says democrats are at a big disadvantage compared to republicans……

Hunhoff says they have good potential candidates for statewide offices, but isn’t sure at this point if they will run……

Hunhoff says democrats will meet this weekend in Burke to talk issues and possible candidates.
